Easy to use and to clean
Liked most of all the ease in getting all that pet hair off of the brush. Easy to use for a quick touch up or full body grooming. Highly recommend

Works well
My dog sheds a lot and ever since I received it , I have been brushing his coat everyday and I can see a difference in the amt of hair that he loses and keeps his coat shiny to.

This brush is working great for my longhair pup. The shedding is not nearly as bad to sweep up. My dog has really fine hair and this has helped with some of the looser tangles. The brush hair removal button is a real bonus.

Have purchased 2 of these. My whole family loves this. So easy to use and gets the old hair/which helps with shedding. Sent one to my cousin for her cats and she likes it to.

Excellent grooming tool!!!
This is the best brush I’ve ever used on my dogs. My pups love the way it feels and that matters! Also, WOW, the fur that comes on my babies!!!! Crazy! I brushed my short haired dog and filled the brush 3 TIMES! Its was great! Highly recommended for all pet owners, cats or dogs!

Wish it worked for us!
Edited to add: the customer service for this company has been outstanding! I will be trying some of their other products! This seems like a fantastic product, but unfortunately it didn’t remove the hair from my short hair dog’s coat. But honestly I’ve tried several brushes and nothing seems to work. The brush seems very well made and easy to use. It just didn’t work for us.

A functional tool.
I like the fact that it has tips on the end of the metal bristles. The is taking longer to get annoy the cat. It is lightweight but bulky. I small hands and the handle is not as comfortable as are old brush of a similar style. As always, if the cat likes it, I will adjust.

So easy to use
I really like this brush, I just wish it weren’t so cumbersome…perhaps a tad smaller, but overall it is a great brush for my two cats. My smaller one isn’t too sure about this, but we get by…lol!

We have a small Chihuahua that sheds quite a bit. This brush works really well in getting his hair off. It’s gental enough that he’ll sit for the brushing.

Just When You Think Cat Brushes Cannot Be Improved…A Brush With Retractable Bristles Is Invented.
Just When You Think Cat Brushes Cannot Be Improved…A Brush With Retractable Bristles Is Invented. Works great. So, so easy to clean. Not my cats’ favorite brush, but I mix up the brushes and combs to keep things interesting. It’s all good. I have short hair cats. If you have a LONG hair cat or dog, this brush could be a game changer. Recommend this cool brush for ease of cleaning.

Great idea!!!
Unlike traditional cat brushes I’ve used, this is self cleaning, push the button and the hair slides off instead of having to pull it out and damage the bristles ,it also has plastic tips so its not harsh for my little buddy when i brush him , only negative is it’s made of plastic and could break if dropped on a hard surface

Great Brush
This a great pet brush. I like how it collects the hair in the brush and with the push of a button all the pet hair is released, and the brush is ready do more brushing. Our dogs like the feeling of the brush as well.

Does the job with our med length haired cat.
Really easy to use. Doesn’t hurt our cat. Our cat LOVES to be brushed with this. He actually catches an attitude when we stop. Lol He’s the type that can get over stimulated but LOVES this brush. The retract feature makes it exceptionally easy to clean. Winner all the way around.

A VASTLY SUPERIOR PRODUCT
I had previously purchased several brushes that were of the same self cleaning functionality as this product. I would give those brushes a 5 star rating as well, but when I went to buy more of them on Amazon (I give them away to my cat and dog-owning friends), all I could find were these that were for sale for about $8. I decided to give these a try.WOW. I don’t know what descriptor to give to a product that is superior to a superior product, but these brushes are just fabulous. Both of my cats would happily let me brush them with the other brushes if I followed the “grain” of their coat. The little cat would even let me backbrush him with the old brushes, but the big guy would run once I tried doing that. With these new brushes not only will both cats let me backbrush them, but the big guy jumps up on my desk 3-4 times a day and asks to be brushed. Yes, even backbrushed. So what makes the difference between these brushes and the perfectly good older ones? Their bristles have a coated tip that obviously is gentler on the cats skin. An added benefit is that in spite of the fact that brushes create a static charge and cause the cat hair that accumulates on the brush to stick to the brush when the bristles are retracted, that charge is reduced with these brushes and the hair sticks FAR less. Here is a tip for you; Instead of retracting the bristles and then cleaning the brush, just let the brush sit with the unretracted bristles face down for a while and the static charge will dissipate and allow you to hold the brush over a garbage can and retract the bristles. The hair will cleanly fall off the brush without you having to “help” it with a tissue or paper towel.Another tip is to begin using these brushes with SLOW, gentle strokes. I gave one of the old brushes to my brother and he took a video of him using the brush on one of his cats. It was a horror show. He had to restrain the growling cat and even though I tried to explain that the aggressive brushing he started with he would never again try that with that particular cat. I sent him one of the new brushes (I think) but I doubt he has even tried it on his cats or dogs. He’s stubborn. I’ll send him this review and see what he says.

WOW
Our dog has long, thick hair, and he sheds so much, especially in the fall, that I swear I could stuff a king sized mattress with it! Combs don’t help much, and some brushes don’t have comfortable ends on the brush tips to keep from scratching. Then there’s the issue of trying for 5 minutes to clean a brush from the hair! So finally, someone managed to find a way to protect a dog’s skin plus removing hair in a second! The brush tips disappear into the brush with a click of a button on the back, and all the hair is instantly dislodged! Wow, wow, and wow! I love this brush, in fact, I just ordered a second one! Absolutely, anyone with a dog that sheds needs to get this as a necessary staple! (Get two!!)

Easy to clean but you’ll spend more time pampering your kitty
I like how easy it is to clean. I won’t go as far as self cleaning, but you retract the bristles and most of the fur just sticks to the top for easy removal. The rest falls off completely, so it’s easier to work over a garbage pail that can fall into. It works well enough to be counted as a good feature. The bristles aren’t very thick and they are widely spaced, I guess to make the retracting cleaning trick work, but that means you need to spend more time brushing the cat. I mean, I like brushing the cats and they like being brushed so this works. If yours is crankier about that, look elsewhere.

Great for a dog
I love the ability to push a button to make the bristles pull into the brush head so that you can quickly and cleanly wipe the fur off of the brush. I had bought this brush to use on my short haired cat. And while it does work, it is bigger than I would like for a cat. If they made this exact same product with a brush head about half this size it would be purrfect for me.

The ease of brushing your dog!
I wondered if this brush would work. A brush is a brush, right? WRONG! No pet hair flying all over. Push the button and you slide your fingers over the smooth brush and have a handful of hair! No picking through pokey bristles. It’s that easy!

As advertised
We have a lab/shepherd mix with short hair, not easily trapped in a grooming tool. This brush not only traps the hair but is easy to clean and comfortable to use. Also, the beads at the tips of the bristles prevents injury to the skin.

I was surprised by this brush, it’s very effective for removing my husky’s fur and makes it so much less messy than other brushes I’ve used. It’s very easy to use and comfortable to hold in your hand. It’s got little nubs on the ends of the bristles so it isn’t rough on her skin either! Highly recommend!

Does a great job
Not too rough on my lab boxer’s skin. Gets all the fur appropriately and my dog loves the feel of it. Very easy to clean with a tough of a button. And I like that I could retract the bristles when not in use so they aren’t scratching things up.

Ok But Not Great
I have a Maltese/Shih-tzu mix with long hair and the plastic tines did not do a good job on her mats. I prefer the metal tines for that job. It did get some of the mats out.

Very good product
Wished had this item sooner. My dog (very hairy large golden retriever) allowed hair removal without even feeling it. He is Usually poorly cooperative with other brushes, but not this one. He didn’t even move! I was able to remove a lot of hair rapidly. Would buy again if needed.

Best brush ever!!!
I have two brother male cats. One is long haired the other short haired. This brush is perfect for both. They are indoor/outdoor cats. Which means they come indoors with weeds and sticky things in their fur. So I brush them off easily. It takes out matted fur balls in their coats. Just be careful on their heads and legs which have less fur. I like the excellent job this brush does and my cats love the attention.

Best Brush
I have a medium hair Apple Head Chihuahua and finding the right brush for his coat has been a challenge. I came upon this brush and gave it a try. I can say it’s the best brush I have found. It gets through all the layers of fur without digging into his skin. When done simply unclick the lock and the fur can be removed. No more fur stuck in the bristles like most dog brushes.

Depends on the type of coat
This brush worked great on our border collie mix with the thickest hair. Just OK on our lab shepherd mix. And not at all on our springer spaniel. Love the button feature that leaves the hair behind.

No more mess!
I had been brushing and combing my beagle the old fashioned way. Although he enjoys having his fur groomed, it was messy collecting the shedding from the brush and comb, containing it, cleaning the floor afterwards, plus brushing off my clothing. This Suihauk brush is a God send. It’s shedding season so just a few swipes fills the brush up. Push the button and all the tines retract which releases the fur right into your trash can or whatever. Push the button again and the tines pop out to continue brushing. I’m collecting the fur much faster now and more of it. There’s hardly any flying around for me to clean up afterwards. Since it’s less of a chore for myself now, I find I brush more frequently: sometimes just a quick touch up and sometimes longer for a good grooming. I rinse the brush after each use. That’s just me and not really necessary. I store with the tines retracted. I purchased another brand of brush that’s similar at the same time and will probably return that one. It doesn’t look as nice and it works in a different way. I haven’t tried it but I’ve examined it. The tines work differently. The tines do not retract when you push its button. Instead, a perforated base moves out through the tines which would push the fur off of the brush for disposal. I think the brush with the tines that retract is more effective at releasing the fur for disposal. Both were the same reasonable price but I’m very pleased with the Suihauk and haven’t decided yet what I’ll do about the other one. I will update for comparison should I decide to keep it and try it out

Easy to use;easy to clean
Until we got Angel, our 15 mo old Great Pyrenees, we always had short haired dogs. Angel was trimmed short when we adopted her last month so I had no idea what dealing with her hair was like. Using our old brushes, I spent more time CLEANING them than USING them. THIS BRUSH IS A LIFE SAVER! With one click the tines come out, click again and they retract leaving a little pad of hair to throw away. The tines are always clean and hair free. The brush is easy to store and takes up much less room than regular brushes and stays clean, too. I highly recommend this brush and wish I had it when our Labs were alive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My 19 year old cat puts up with this brush style the best so far
I have a 19 year old diluted calico who is at that age where she does not hold back her opinion on ANYTHING anymore. She has a short coat, but it has always been very soft and fluffy. Most people comment on how super soft her fur is when they pet her for the first time. Now that she’s older though, I can see areas where it’s harder for her to groom. The fur isn’t matted yet, but I know it will if it doesn’t get brushed out.Brushing time goes like this now. She gets pet (which she loves), then we try a brush. She moves her head to the brush like she wants to sniff it and then *bam* she bites it and tries to get it away from me. We can’t decide if she’s upset or playing. It honestly looks more like play with a “i’m the boss about what touches me” kind of attitude. She has shockingly good teeth, especially for her age, but I don’t want her chipping one on her comb. So we tried the zoom grooms that we’ve had for decades now, but they’re aren’t so good for when there is a tangle. They’re better for daily maintenance to prevent a tangle. She did the sniff thing again, grabbed the brush with her mouth and the started treating it was like a mouse and just beat the heck of it, and since it was soft, we just let her have her way with it. So that brush is out too, she wants to get after it too badly. This brush, she’s tolerating in very short sessions, but what’s nice is that it’s a little too bulky for her to easily bite, unlike the skinny comb I was using, so I think I’ve finally found something that will be hard for her to hurt herself with. And she loves sniffing and playing with the big clump of fur that comes off when you retract the teeth. So she’ll let me brush down her back, but I only get a few swipes at her chest. I’ve never used this style of brush before and I’m really pleased with the the mechanism that lets you clean the teeth. And the teeth have nice soft round tips. I’m so pleased with this that I ordered another one for our second cat this morning, even though he LOVES a good grooming. This brush is just so easy to clean and feels gentler than the comb I usually use.

Cat loves it!
This is the best retractable brush I have ever used. It retracts fully so it’s extremely easy to clean. The bristles are firm but gentle on my short haired cat. He loves it. It’s a little heavier than other brushes I have used but manageable.

Great for shedding
Ive used mine on my medium to long hair boardercollie and it works great the amount of bristles makes removing hair easy and the retracting bristles make cleaning up super easy and my little guy is way more comfortable with this one. The bristles are easy to bend so you do have to be careful.

the ONLY brush my cat likes
just like the title said he seriously cannot get enough and he’s been overstimulated with every other brush. he begs for me to keep brushing him with this one, it’s seriously so weird how much he likes this but i can’t complain. it’s super easy to clean, the grip is comfortable, the amount of hair i get off of him is also insane. the brush works super well and it’s the perfect size to get enough but not too wide of an area. would def recommend!!

I love self cleaning.
I had one without the prong tips, but lost it. My dog is anxious and so runs around and tries to sit while doing anything to him, even if it shouldn’t be scary. He’s a big dog and tends to accidentally hurt me when he freaks out. So I thought he might be less anxious if I used this. He is part Rottweiler, and part something else, and has short hair with a really thick undercoat. His hips tend to shed a lot, but thick tufts of hair come out and are not easy to grab. This brush works better than some but it tends to just go over the thick patches instead of pull them up. The one without the prong covers work great. I do have to be careful not to put pressure on the brush and brush in small strokes working out the thick layer with the other brush. With this one I don’t have to be as careful but it just gets the surface stuff. He gets impatient the more I do it. If you have a dog that does not have a thick undercoat, this brush would be awesome!!

GREAT deshedder
My dog has thick hair, lost her other brush, ordered this, she was starting to get a couple of little mats, but don’t want to groom her with short hair, it’s winter. I brushed her for about a half hour, she loved it. All the mats are gone, it’s got that great feature that you can pop it in and grab the dog hair. My dog is so soft now. And it’s durable, good quality and a great price.
