⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Puppy Approved!**I bought this bone for my 4-month-old Goldendoodle puppy, and he absolutely loves it! It’s been great for his teething stage—durable enough to withstand his enthusiastic chewing but not so hard that it hurts his teeth. He’ll spend a good chunk of time working on this bone, and it keeps him happily entertained. It’s also a lifesaver for redirecting his attention away from our shoes and furniture! If you have a puppy who loves to chew, this is a great choice. Highly recommend!

    Best of the best.

We have 3 dogs, 1 being a SUPER CHEWER. Like a literal Hulk, he will chew through any toy within a few minutes. These are the ONLY bones that last!PROS – Very functional, all the dogs like to chew or gnaw on these. Easy to use, just give it to them and off they go! Some dog bones smell but I haven’t noticed any smell and we’ve probably had 5-6 of these. The design shape is perfect because dogs of all sizes (cocker spaniel, boxer & lab) can use it without me worrying about them choking. It’s a great fun toy that we will always have in our house!CONS – none.

Great Design, But One End Broke Off Almost Immediately

***EDIT 3: I have upgraded this to four stars. I received two replacement JUMBO bones after the one I purchased broke off almost instantly. I think that product had a defect in it, which is a little dangerous because it broke into a piece that could be swallowed. HOWEVER, the two replacement bones have been excellent. One got chewed up first, and it did slowly whittle away, but it did not break into any dangerous pieces and it did not get sharp. My puppy loved it! The second bone she has had a little more trouble chewing away, and it still gets her attention after months of hard chewing. Which makes me think that the bones have different hardness levels in the batches they are made, but that is just speculation. Regardless, the bone is great and does does not break into little pieces which could be choking hazards, and it does not get sharp.Great product, a little inconsistent in batches maybe, but it will get your dog’s attention, provide hours of chewing, and the scent does not get on the carpet like other chew toys or bones. Good purchase!***Edit 1: Benebone contacted me almost immediately and offered a replacement of the larger size. Their customer service representative has been friendly and I forwarded my contact information through their website for the replacement. I will update when I receive the new product and my experience.******Edit 2: When I contacted Benebone’s customer service to provide my address, they immediately responded in approximately an hour. In fact, they already sent and I received not one replacement, but TWO replacement bones and a nice handwritten note. I have attached a photo below proving it. The replacements were the LARGER, upgraded sizes too! I have upgraded this review to 3 Stars premised on the sincere and strong customer service they have shown me. THIS COMPANY STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. For that, I think it is just to upgrade my 2 star review to 3 stars. I still stand by what I had said below regarding the smaller size, but so far my puppy LOVES the JUMBO Benebone and I will surely review the JUMBO in two weeks to see how it holds up. So far, the JUMBO is 5 STARS for sure; it has held up much better than the other chew toy, despite my puppy’s intense chewing on this bone (it smells much stronger than the little bone and the flavor must be super intense for her). Despite this intense chewing, the bone has taken very little damage from her–it is holding up much better.ADVICE: Do not go by the weight recommendations and size. If your puppy/dog prefers to chew on hard bones, just get the largest size for 100 lb dogs. If your puppy chews on hard bones once in awhile but not really, then you can go for the size for 70 lb dogs. I still think the 70 lb Benebone I got had a defect which resulted in one branch completely falling off immediately–the other two branches are solid despite heavy chewing–but this new JUMBO bone is amazing!***Original Review*** – 2 StarsI purchased this for my 45 lb, 8 month old pit bull/shepherd mix. It is a good idea and design, but one whole end was destroyed in no time. Perhaps I got a defective one with an air bubble or crack, as you can see from the photo below that one end completely broke off/wore down but the other two ends are barely damaged despite my puppy’s chewing.Regardless, I feel a little mislead that it was rated for dogs up to 70 lbs and, while the packaging warns you that this is just an estimate, one who anticipate that it would last longer than a week for a puppy 25 lbs lighter than the estimate. Nylabones and elk antlers lasted much longer than this did and my puppy seriously chews on the elk antlers quite intensely. As way of some background, my puppy has a lot of chew toys ranging from bones, rawhide, ropes, stuffed animals, nylabones, and rubber balls. She certainly spent a lot of attention on this toy the last week, but it wasn’t exclusive and her chewing was shared with some of her other staples.I like that this toy has bacon mixed in with it. If you smell the toy, particularly where your dog has been chewing, you can kind of smell a meaty aroma. It does not get on the rug or rub off, and it is a faint smell, but on the chewed parts you can smell something. It is not noticeable when you are sitting next to your dog/puppy and the toy, or near the toy; it is only when you pick up the toy and put it right to your nose. I can only imagine what this smells like to dogs with their super sense of smell!I also can’t argue with the design/shape of the toy–it’s perfect! The curve of the toy is great, as she can scoop it up or put pressure on one end to elevate the opposite end to chew on it.But I just can’t get over how quickly that one end came off. I got it about two weeks ago and I gave it to her last week (I slowly introduce new toys to keep her occupied and her mind stimulated). Compared to other chew toys–including nylabone and elk antlers–this toy wore down much quicker. In fact, the nylabone she has had for much longer, the puppy nylabones nonetheless, have outlasted this toy and the nylabone has been around since we first took her home at 2 months. She has also had an elk antler which has also lasted much longer and she REALLY goes after that one.I have attached a photo below of my puppy and the damage to the bone. For the cost, which is about the same as a nylabone, I would have wished it lasted much longer than it did–which is why I got it in the first place as opposed to another nylabone. I would be happy if it lasted a few months, which is what I would guess to be its normal lifespan.I would not classify my puppy as a big chewer either. She certainly chews and can do damage to hard bones or chew toys, but she is by no means a destroyer–she does not even shred her stuffed animals and has executed only a few (some were not even dog chew toys but children’s toys she was given to play with). This is the first hard toy she has destroyed where I had to take it away.CONCLUSION: Perhaps I got a Benebone that had a defect, or my puppy really just destroyed this one in a mere week, but I simply cannot recommend this version of the Benebone I got. I might try to get the jumbo Benebone or one rated higher for bigger dogs up to 100 lbs if they go on sale, but I don’t think that my 8 month old puppy should warrant a toy for dogs up to 100 lbs when she has not destroyed any of her other toys like this one. It even takes her longer to go through some of the large rawhide toys she has!

    My Labrador Retriever loves these

I think my dog is on his 10th one of these. I have bough a lot of Benebone chews and my dog always goes back to this one when he wants to chew. He spending a lot of energy chewing this and doesn’t seem to get bored with it, which is why I keep buying them. There are multiple flavors and so far he has liked all of them.He has been very active since we got him as a puppy and this tough chew help give him an outlet instead of chewing on anything else (like furniture). Thanks to these we have need had to worry about that behavior. Sized for a large dog, but I believe they make smaller versions for other breeds.Only downside it once they start to really chew on them, small pieces/shavings of the bone come off and get stuck to your socks and carpet. A little bit rough to step on but easy to vacuum up. Highly recommend this for any active dog or chewer.

    Indestructible!!!!

I’ve bought toy after toy that had promising claims that it cannot be destroyed. Everyone of them lasted only a few days with my four month old puppy. This toy has lasted over a month and she absolutely goes crazy for it. It has to be the bacon flavor or something. When we let her in the house (which is where we keep the toy) she Runs right to it and just lays down on the floor and chews on it for hours! It keeps her occupied and it’s indestructible! LOVE this product!

    Lasts forever.

My dog will eat a 12 inch bully stick in 5 minutes. She swallows the last 4 inches whole. She doesn’t like this anywhere as much as a bully stick. But this has lasted for months. Nothing else has lasted even 1% as long–at least nothing that she wants to chew on. This thing is like a cactus once she gets teeth marks in it. Very sharp. I just bought a new one because we lost what was left. She managed to consume about 1/2 of it over the last 4 months. I bought a similar looking/similar size chew at Marshall’s today. She consumed the entire thing in 10 minutes!

My Ulva, and Koda both absolutely love this chew toy! I have never seen either of them enjoy a single anything this much before! They take turns chewing on it, lol. Mind you, these are noth dogs over 50lbs each! The Sound quality is just like a dog chewing on a bone. The toy quality is fenominal! It has outlasted ANY chew toy I have ever purchased them! This has even outlasted Several expensive name brands! The size is great! I though at first they would be disappointed, but apparently it’s perfect even for my large doggos! This does NOT bounce, or squeek. It is a very hard wish bone shaped chew toy. This is for puppera who love to chew on stuff! Will buy more!

My dog loves this. She’s very picky about her bones/rawhides and she returns to this day after day. It’s super durable and entertains her when we are busy with her new human brother.

My dog loves these!! It’s her favorite!!!! When it starts to get sharp pointy edges she figured it out to put her blanket around it so she can continue chewing it without it being sharp lololol at that point I buy her a new one anyway 😉

    3 Dogs love this toy

My 3 Dogs love this and infact I have 3 of them at the house – one for each – but of course they all like to argue over just 1 of them.

    Dog chew

Looks pretty. May be to big for my little dog. She loves kes to steal all my teddies but won’t chew this bone yet. Might have bought one to big for her. She is a chit szu(spelling?)

Pretty hard, tough for my small dog to even scratch it.

My dog lost interest in this because it is too hard. He couldn’t make or see or achieve progress with it because it’s too hard. He didn’t even scratch it or leave marks. Maybe that’s the point. But I feel like it’s too hard and remains slippery because he can’t score it. And he is an expert chewer of all other products like this.

    Dog is enjoying this!!

My corgi loves to chew things he is not supposed to and is very picky about chew toys. He really has been liking chewing this and it has been a great redirection to chewing shoes and such

    Our Dane Loves It

It is hard to find chews that will last and are big enough for a dog the size of a Great Dane. This one does the trick. Ordered the fish one so we can switch off every week.

    Good for the aggressive chewer

So glad I found this for my pup. She’s a 1 year-old Parson Russell mix and a VERY aggressive chewer. I had trouble finding anything that would last – this is it! Will absolutely buy this again.

    Last a long time

I have a Samoyed dog. Since he was a puppy he bites everything so I got this toy for him. He is 2 years old and still has this bone, he loves it.

Best doodle stress dog toy EVER!

A friend of mine had one of these at her house and my dog seemed very into it so I bought one and it has to be the absolute best thing I’ve ever bought for him! CrackerJack loves it more than all 111 other dog toys/ chew toys. Whenever He starts to chew on anything (!!!!) else I can handle that and he will immediately chew on that and his disposition improves immensely!

BEST Chew Bone I’ve EVER found!!

The media could not be loaded.

We have 8 dogs and this is paws down, the best, most long-lasting chew for aggressive chewers I’ve ever found, and all the dogs LOVE them! I make sure to have enough to go around so no one gets cranky about it—hours and hours of intense gnawing to calm their nerves and sharpen their mental acuity. I think the design of this wishbone is the key—they all hold them the same way: one or both paws holding the long end down while they work on one of the other ends. The size of the bone does reduce but I’ve never found any fragments and none of them ever cough or choke so it’s a mystery! ORDER IT!! (Peanut butter is their least fave flavor).

Great for a dog that chews

My dog likes to chew things she is only 7 months old so I was looking for something that would keep her busy and this is it. I have had it for almost 2 weeks and she has barely put a dent in it. Keeps her busy for a long time until she is tired of chewing, get this for your dog that chews you wont be sorry.

    Large toy

The dogs love it. It is quite sturdy but I do have large breed dogs and they are wearing it down faster than I would like, but at least they get some entertainment value.

    My dog looks ves these!

Normally Pepper is pretty particular about what she is willing to chew on. But she went after this with no hesitation and goes back to it over and over. I’m sure it will last a good long time.

    Keeps my puppy super happy!

I have been getting these back to back for a little while now. My puppy loves it. Gives her something to chew and the chewing of other things has almost seized completely. I definitely recommend it if you have a puppy that is always chewing through your things.

    Great bone for heavy chewers

The media could not be loaded.

This bone delivers a great chewing experience for bigger dogs with a high need to work on the bone for long periods of time. We have multiple bones from this company in different shapes and my three large dogs all enjoy them. It’s difficult to find a chewing experience for them that doesn’t have some sort of choke risk. So far, none of the Benebones have lost any pieces that could pose a risk. The only downside I would add is that the bones do develop a sort of sharp, rough texture as the teeth scrape and work at it. So far, nothing bad has happened like a cut mouth but it is just something I observed.Overall, a repeat purchase for me, and even as gifts for other dog owners.
