PERFECT REMOTE!
I purchased a Samsung Smart TV, and the remote was crap; complicated and un-useable. Found this and thought I would give it a try. IT IS PERFECT! I put the batteries in it and turned the TV on. No syncing it, no complicated codes to enter, just turn it on and it works like a charm. So very Happy.

This is the THIRD universal remote I’ve purchased since we got our Samsung smart tv. The remote that came with the tv is NOT user friendly and my husband likes to channel surf/hop.The first two that I purchased were busts.But this on, THIS ONE, works perfectly! And it didn’t have to be programmed.Highly recommend.

Limited functionality but good for the most part
This remote won’t do everything a regular Samsung remote would do. I read some reviews before buying it and was aware of its limitations (e.g Netflix button doesn’t work, on/off button only turns on the Tv). So, between this one and the old one I have, I have been able to operate all the features of my TV, so I’m satisfied, based on the money I paid for the remote.

THIS is the remote you want for many Samsung TV’s!
I ordered two of these over two months ago and have used them continuously to make sure they worked well before writing this review. Like me, you probably wanted a remote like this because it has NUMBER buttons and you don’t have to “talk” to it and fool around endlessly like you do with the new remotes that come with the new Samsung TV’s.Before I found this remote I had very unsatisfactory performance with 4 (FOUR) of a similar, much longer remote sold on amazon by a company called “EWO’S”. On every one of them the number button became unresponsive after just a few weeks. That is not a problem with this remote sold here at amazon by a company called “EONCHARM”.Both of these ”EONCHARM” Samsung universal remotes work perfectly — and the all the buttons work very quickly and responsively. Too bad Samsung doesn’t provide remotes like THIS when you buy the TV brand new…. Hey, I’m an old guy. I don’t want to “talk” to the TV or navigate through a bunch of menus. I want to press buttons on a remote control unit and have the TV do what I want without any further “interaction”! Order this remote if you feel the same way.

Functional but not great
Pros: cheap, easy to connect to tv, basics work ok (volume, power, arrows, exit, etc.)Cons: plastic feel (which is cheap), ergonomics (in terms of position of volume buttons relative to the arrow pad – you can’t access both easily without shifting your grip). Biggest issue is that holding down a button will only result in the signal being sent for that button one time. With a standard remote to fast forward you hold down the right arrow and over a few seconds this will switch from skipping 10s at a time in the program to 2x and 3x speeds for the fast forward. It is NOT possible to do with this remote, and you MUST keep on clicking the button time after time to shift forward by 10 seconds per press.

No Instructions for functions of remote, only works somewhat with the TV
After my initial surprise that the item came with NO INSTRUCTIONS, I read some earlier reviews and discovered that simply adding batteries was all that was needed to get it to operate it but even then it doesn’t work 100%. Thankfully this remote was for an “extra” TV in the house. The instructions would have been helpful to explain the functions of various buttons on the remote. I haven’t used a remote like this in years and don’t feel like spending all my time experimenting to find out what they do. The remote turned on the TV but WOULD NOT TURN IT OFF! I had to press the button on the TV itself to power it off. “Source” worked perfectly fine. I rely on streaming with home WiFi and antenna for other TV’s in the house. If the remote was for my main TV, I’d say it was a waste of money. Now I just have to decide if it works adequately or if I just need to buy a new inexpensive TV.

Works nicely
This remote works really well and is a great replacement for when you lose your remote. I would have given it full stars but whenever you are watching something and you wanna skip a bit you have to continuously have to press the button rather then just holding it. I find that a little tedious but overall I think it works very nice!

Replacement remote works for several of my Samsungs
We lost one remote ordered this as a replacement. Worked great, found that remote, put it up for a back up. Lost another rooms remote, tried this one…that has happened 3 times with 3 different models of Samsungs and it worked for each. It doesn’t have voice control. But the original TV we bought it for didn’t have that capability. If you need voice control keep searching.

Works pretty well for the most part.
Overall this remote works very well for any Samsung Smart TV. The only thing I noticed on mine is that the buttons specifically for Netflix, Hulu, etc didn’t actually do anything to open up those specific apps on my Smart TV, but since the apps are all right there on the screen to access using the arrow buttons, it was a small matter, and I don’t know if my Samsung is an older model Smart TV that maybe those app-specific buttons don’t work on or not….but again a very small matter since the rest of the control works very nicely!

Close, but not perfect.
New remote works on 90% of the functions vs the original. Speed / fast forward & reverse are not the same as the original. You have to push repeatedly to forward or reverse the viewed program. Original remote smoothly zips through commercials just holding the buttons down.

A little Slow but it Works
I ordered this to replace an original Samsung remote BN59-01315J. In the description for this product it states it’s compatiable with sets using that remote. Placed brand new batteries in, and nothing happened. Changed the battieries and nothing happened. After about 5 minutes it suddenly began working so I’m thinking maybe it needs to run through codes somehow and find the one compatible with the TV set. Because after that happened then all the hot buttons and features began to work.So if you’re like me and expect that it does as advertised right out of the packaging, take a deep breath and be patient. As for right out of the packaging, I read some reviews describing as “it worked right out of the box”. What box? in was in a clear plastic bag and a yellow envelope. Not really protecting it from potential damage.The remote is a bit lighter than the one being replaced despite resembling it to the T. Hoping that it doesn’t mean inferior parts requiring me to replace it after some extended use.
