Ya can’t miss what you don’t know
What made me pull the trigger on these was the hearing aid feature. I’ve had the for almost a month and the jury is still out on that. Maybe I need a newer iPhone (I have a 12). Maybe the software isn’t there yet (I’ve the 8.2 beta since it was out).I can tell you that the active noise canceling feature is off the charts, maybe too good and that makes the adaptive transparency mode pop. Night and day between the two.The personal spatial audio function is a game changer for certain music.”customer usually keep this item”, Yeah I bet they do amazon!Jury is in! The hearing aid function works now that apple has issued an update to the airpod case. It is kinda weird, will take a little getting used to.

These blew me away well done Apple
The AirPods Pro 2 appear to be a versatile device, excelling in various areas while maintaining a consistent level of performance. Bluetooth pairing is remarkably swift, and transferring between devices is intuitive. The earbud design offers an excellent fit, and the sound quality is both pleasing and balanced. The newly introduced lanyard mount is particularly convenient. Each feature incorporated into these AirPods has surpassed my expectations. The total cost for the Elago case and AirPods Pro 2 is $193. My only critique is they could have more base. Also AppleCare is a must. Don’t even buy them without budgeting for AppleCare.

Much Improved AirPods Pro 2 over AirPods Pro
Purchased Airpods Pro 2 with USB-C on Amazon. I started a return second day because of Bluetooth issues but received support and reset my AirPods. AirPods Pro 2 works seamlessly.ANC: Much improved superior ANC than AirPods Pro. Sound reduction appears to be 35 decibels, which means if your environment is very loud, for example, listening to a jackhammer around 103 decibels, which can impair your hearing, the AirPods pro 2 may reduce the noise by 35 decibels. I also own the AirPods Pro also purchased on Amazon and can attest noise canceling is great on AirPods Pro2.Connectivity: Seamless Bluetooth connectionSeal: Apple included extra small ear tips as well as three larger sizes. Seal is nearly soundproof. Much improved over AirPods Pro.Design and Weight: Same as AirPod Pro but very lightweight and comfortable. I fell asleep with my AirPods Pro 2 and didn’t know I was wearing my AirPods. The magsafe charging case can charge wirelessly.Battery Life: Much improved over AirPods Pro which lasted about 4.5 hours on ANC mode. I calculated the AirPods Pro 2 to last beyond 6 hours with ANC.Features: Fortunately I am not hearing impaired but for those who are, may appreciate AirPods Pro 2 can be used as hearing aids with a hearing test soon to come since Apple has not launched a software update. The device has hearing protection. It has adaptive hearing, transparency mode, conversational mode, adaptive EQ, voice isolation, 4.5 hours talk time. It is dust, sweat, and water resistant (IP54). It also has up to 4 hours of Lossless Audio listening time on a single charge with Apple Vision Pro. 5 minutes charging in case may provide up to an hour listening time. Mag safe case can provide up to 30 hours of listening time15 and up to 24 hours of talk time.Sound: Fairly robust. I would have preferred richer bass, but overall a great product. If you own AirPods Pro and thinking about upgrading, you should upgrade and will be very happy.

New features work well.
I bought these for the new hearing aid functionality. So far they work very well, especially compared to a pair of Nano CIC hearing aids.Although the price of the AirPods was less than the Nano’s they have a lot more features. Unlike other inexpensive OTC hearing devices, these get tuned to your needs following a hearing test on your IPhone. The others don’t get tuned and while they claim to not be just amplifiers, without tuning that’s basically what they are.I like how you can adjust the volume and select other settings such as reduce background noise on the iPhone. I have yet to try them for conversations in a noisy environment yet, although that’s primarily why I bought them.I’ll update after I do this. The only downside is the short battery life (6 hours) as compared to around 14 on the others. That and the stem that is very obvious.

Really helpful for hearing in crowded places
The sound is wonderful for listening to music, but I really bought them for the hearing boost functionality. Took the hearing test, and test drove these on a recent trip. No music playing, but the background restaurant noise was really muted until I spoke or a waiter did. Then my voice and the waiter’s were very clear. When listening to music, if someone spoke, or I did, the music volume went down and then adjusted back at the end of the conversation. My hearing is pretty good, but these helped immensely in noisy restaurants. I did adjust one of the ear cups to fit, and I’m not sure how comfy these would be all day but I had no complaints after about 3 hours of wear time.

Best ear buds for iphone users.
As of now (Sept 2024), these are still the best headphones for iPhone users.Pros: These have great sound including bass. The charge is long lasting, and the case itself will charge the buds back up a few times before the case needs a charge too. The case charges with magsafe chargers, which to me is convenient. These have great noise reduction when I mow the lawn and want to listen to music. Also, when I am on a phone call, they do a great job of isolating my voice – so if I need to take a work call when I’m out and about, folks can’t hear all the background noises or music in a store, for example. These have seamless integratoin with iPhone for use with FindMy (to locate misplaced buds and/or case), and the iPhone easily finds and connects with these each time I pull them out of the case. And, the iPhone allows for a bunch of other cool settings. For example, I can set the decibel level lower so that they allow some sound through but only as loud as I want, so when at a loud concert, I can hear the music without losing my hearing. Conversely, “transparency mode” allows me to increase the volume so that I can talk to people who have soft voices and hear better, almost like a po-man’s hearing aid. :)Cons: They are pricey. New versions may be coming out soonish, so if you can get these on sale, they are totally worth it.I recommend these, and there are many protective cases you can find that will fit these, which I also recommend – just make sure that the case is magsafe if you want to use that feature. Happy listening!

Amazing
First of all, these are THE BEST headphones i have ever owned. At first, I was hesitant because they were expensive and i wanted to make sure i was getting my money’s worth, and boy did i. They stay in your ears and don’t slip out like other airpods. The noise cancellation is perfect. They’re easy to find if they get lost. They’re light and i love the design. My only complaint is I lost my case they come with and I couldn’t find a replacement case on amazon that was anything like the original

I was skeptical at first, but I really love these headphones
I have used a lot of earbuds both with and without noise cancelling, but these are on a whole different level. The noise canceling is the main reason I bought them. I think they probably cancel twice as much as my previous JBL ones. It quiets things like my much larger Bose full size headphones did, but these are so much smaller and easier to travel with.I have not tried out some of the fancier features such as the Spatial Audio and hearing testing, but since I got them, they have pretty much been in my ears constantly. Well worth the price and very intuitive to use.

Problem with these was trying to return them
The product was fine. I already have an earlier version and love them. I purchased these for the hearing aid aspect. For me it was difficult to set up and didn’t produce the results I hoped for so decided to return them. That was not easy. I had never returned anything with a battery before and wrongly assumed it would be easy also. First of all was told I had to have someone verify they were ok. Finally got around that by calling customer service. Then was told I had to use ups pickup which was very inconvenient for me. I was never notified they had received them. When I finally checked was told it would be two weeks before a determination was made and still almost another week before I received my refund. I will still shop on Amazon but will be more careful about returns.

Amazing sound but won’t stay in ear.
I have been researching headphones for weeks and finally decided on getting the Apple Airpod Pro 2’s over Bose Quiet Comfort over ear headphones and the Sony headphones. I own an iPhone 15 Pro Max and in the end I still think I made the right choice, but they do have some issues. While the headphones come with 4 different sizes to fit in your ear, none of them seemed to help with the issue of the headphones falling out of my ear. Maybe they just aren’t made for my ear type? I’m not sure, but I can say the sound is amazing! The spatial sound especially is fantastic. I watched a hockey game with them on my iPad and it was weird that the sound actually sounded like it was coming from the iPad. I would turn my head to the left and could hear it out of my right ear and same with the left when i turned it right. Music sounds great with them. The noise cancelling was great, but not perfect. If you have an iPhone though, I highly recommend these Airpods.

Amazing
I have had hearing issues for a long time now and tinnitus and have tried the expensive hearing aids and always returned them. My wife told me about these and was skeptical because of the price but I bought them anyway to get them a shot.First, the sound quality of the music or phone calls is incredible, great tone and depth.I was surprised at the depth of the hearing aid setup. The ear test was pretty thorough, just like sitting at the doctors office and testing for the various tones, about 5 minutes per ear. The 3 different setting are great based on your needs and while it takes a little time to get used to I can hear better with these than the expensive aids that always picked up background noise much louder than the vocals. With these I can hear the voices louder than the background noise which is just what I need. All in all, a perfect fit for me and for the price its an amazing thing and just goes to show that the expensive hearing aid companies are just after your hard earned money.

They finally did it!
I have abstained from buying air pods because I still remember what garbage the wired version was. Hard plastic just doesn’t work for my ear holes so I’ve been using Skullcandy since the wired days. However, Amazon had a great sale on these WITH same day delivery and I was feeling a little hypo, so I got them and they feel great. Not only do they fit me well, they also come with multiple sizes for different ears and, using the app(it will be a new option in your iPhone settings), can test quickly and easily to figure out which size is the right fit.In my opinion, these are pretty lightweight and often I don’t even notice that I have them in, especially combined with the immersion of Spatial Audio.Price wise, they’ve been on sale for around the same price as my last Skullcandy ear buds when the model was new, the Indy ANC, but holy cow, these AirPod pro 2 buds blow them out of the water in every way.The integration with iPhone is impressive, they can even sense when you put them in your ears so it can transfer the sound at the right time without missing anything or pause your music if you remove one.The sound upgrade for me is pretty incredible and I really like how I can listen to these for hours without feeling deafened with a compressed head after. These really have so many cool features vs other headphones I’ve had that I could easily write an essay on them, but this is already tldrIf you made it this far, my one tip is to make sure to get into the settings and turn on fixed Spatial Audio as it isn’t on by default.

Love the noise cancellation
I recently purchased the iPod Pro and I must say, it has truly been a game-changer for me. The noise cancellation feature is hands down my favorite aspect of these earphones. As someone who travels frequently, being able to block out all the noise around me, especially on airplanes, has been a lifesaver. The noise cancellation on the iPod Pro is incredibly effective, allowing me to focus on my work, read a book, or even catch some shut-eye without being interrupted by the surrounding noise. It creates a peaceful and serene environment, even in the midst of a bustling airport or during a noisy flight. Not only does the noise cancellation work like a charm, but the sound quality of the iPod Pro is top-notch. The audio is crisp, clear, and immersive, making my music, podcasts, and audiobooks sound better than ever. The earphones are comfortable to wear for extended periods, and the fit is secure, ensuring they stay in place no matter how active I am.Overall, I highly recommend the iPod Pro to anyone who values peace and quiet, especially during travel. The noise cancellation feature is a game-changer, allowing you to create your own little oasis of tranquility wherever you go. It has truly enhanced my travel experience and I can’t imagine flying without them now.

Apple AirPods Pro 2 –
The Apple AirPods Pro 2 take wireless earbuds to the next level with improved sound quality, advanced noise-canceling capabilities, and new features like personalized spatial audio and a hearing aid option. Equipped with the H2 chip, they deliver high-fidelity sound, seamless connectivity, and USB-C charging.Pros: • High-Quality Sound: Enhanced audio clarity and richer bass. • Active Noise Cancellation & Transparency Mode: Effortlessly blocks or allows ambient sound. • Personalized Spatial Audio: Creates an immersive listening experience. • Hearing Aid Feature: Helpful for users needing hearing assistance. • Convenient USB-C Charging: Faster, more universal charging option.Cons: • Premium Price: Higher cost than many other earbuds. (They are always on sale here. Never buy it for full price $249. Give a couple of weeks and check again). • Battery Life: While decent, battery life can still require frequent recharging for heavy users. • Limited Compatibility: Some features work best within the Apple ecosystem.Overall Impression:Apple AirPods Pro 2 are ideal for users seeking top-tier sound quality and advanced audio features in a compact, wireless package. With personalized audio and noise control, they suit both casual listeners and audiophiles, though their price and best compatibility with Apple devices may be a consideration.

Great for the limitations they have in regards to audio quality.
I wear these for a reason you will probably never read about anywhere else. I almost always reach for my open-back over ear headphones so I can listen to lossless and I prefer the more natural soundstage with more minimal treble brightness over-emphasis. I put on these AirPods for a while every now and then because it does one main thing that I like. I like the fact that after wearing them for a while. I get a lot of earwax out of my ears the next day which in turn makes my wired headphones sound even better as well. The closed back bass pumping in my ears does this. This “feature” will work with any in-ear monitor. The other feature I enjoy is the wireless design for when I am doing things like cooking. They sound great I would give them an 8.0 out of 10. Amazon also proved the best price for these and they are genuine. First thing I checked. I also really love the soft braided usb-c cable that Apple includes with their products now including these AirPods. Though I will miss the lightning connector. I was able to put my deoxit metal contact enhancer on the lightning connector and I cannot with the usb-c. Only downside. When companies start utilizing lossless with wireless headphones then I may make the permanent switch, but as is… I feel it may be impossible for wireless headphones to ever achieve the fidelity of wired. Even if lossless implemented. But we will see.

My first pair of AirPods
So far, I like these. I’m not sure if the package is supposed to say, “AirPods Pro 2” or just “AirPods Pro.” Mine came as the latter. Hopefully I got the right product. They paired easily with my MacBook Pro (I haven’t made the switch over to iPhone yet). Sound-wise, they’re good. There are plenty of pieces to fit them to your ears that you should get an effective seal for the noise reduction features (which are great). The litmus test for me for pretty much any piece of audio equipment is the Solti/Chicago Symphony Orchestra recording of the finale to Mahler 8. There’s a part that has the organ playing a pedal Eb with all the stops out (pretty much as loud as it can play). I’ve only heard it sound good on one system (that tipped the scales at $15k for the pair of speakers), but in terms of earbuds, I’ve heard it on a variety of others. So far, I prefer it on my pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, but the AirPods Pro 2s are pretty good. It’s still a dull rumble, but you can almost tell that it’s an Eb. Almost.I haven’t gotten to try out any of the hearing test/medical side (I don’t even know if they’re going to include that with the MacOS functions, but I hope they do), but just on the basis of the sound “test” along with other things I’ve listened to so far (Solti’s “Das Rheingold” sounds AWESOME on it, as does some of the metal stuff I’ve listened to as well).

Apple AirPod Pro 2
After a couple of weeks of use and comparing these to my older Bose Quiet Comfort Ear Buds, I like the sound quality and the lighter weight on the ears. I am having a problem with the fit. Apple supplies four sizes of ear cushions, ….. all of them too big for me. I can’t get them deep enough into the ear canal to get a solid fit. The AirPods always feel like they are going to fall out (and a few times they did). I contacted Apple support and they do not have a cure at this time. I also feel like my older Bose did a better job at noise cancellation but that might have something to do with the fit. Most people probably wouldn’t have this concern and these would be a good choice. One determining factor in trying the AirPod Pro 2’s was the new hearing test app and well as the ability to use these as hearing aids for mild to moderate hearing loss individuals. The software update for needed for this wasn’t out yet at the time of reviewing this product and on a iPhone, you require IOS 18 or higher, also just coming out.

Great sound, Great features, Not a great fit
The earbuds sound wonderful, the features are super cool and easy to use and make handling calls, listening to music, and using your voice to control siri on your phone super nice. All of that aside, these did not fit my ears correctly and i had to constantly readjust them every 15 minutes or so as i would feel them become loose even when i wasnt even moving around. I opted for these over the airpods 4th generation as i figured the silicone plugs would hold better than not having them when walking around or going to the gym but sadly not the case for me. Initially they felt comfortable but after about 30 minutes my ears began to throb and i had to take them out because they were causing me pain. I tried all the different ear tips provided and not single one worked for me. I wish they would have worked as i like that these last an hour longer than the airpods 4 and they really immerse you into what your listening to but im going to return mine and go for the airpods 4. Would still recommend for others but my ears are just not the right fit.

Awesome
I can’t believe I am saying this and as an antagonist against apple for years I have it a try and got an iPhone. So I was blown away by several things yadda yadda yadda lol. My best friend pushed me to get the iPods and man i am so blown away it’s not funny. I am overwhelmed at the benefits I have right now. The technology I am not really proud to say it but I am a defeated android user and you just have to give the props to apple. Comfort they have that down packed and the microphone and listening quality. The slayed it bar none. Also it is so light !!!!

Get a real audiology test with expert but GREAT for music
I bought these because I’m between hearing aids and it would take a month to get new ones. These are tiding me over but are no substitute for real hearing aids gotten after a test with a certified audiologist or hearing specialist. They give me some of the high end back, which I’m very grateful for. They squeal sometimes and just reduce the sound when I don’t want it to. Some sort of limiter kicks in and lowers the sound briefly. They don’t have the fine tuning or the rich sound that more expensive hearing aids do. For the price of these or a bit more you may be able to buy aids that come with regular progressional support. As far as streaming music goes they do sound great. Better than my Beats Studio headphones. They fit better and sound better than my old AirPods second generation.A drawback is that the hearing aid functions are not all in one app. You have to go three different places to access all the controls for the hearing aids. They would do if you forgot your hearing aids but had your AirPods. So 5 stars in the music, 3 stars in the hearing aids. If you are reading this Apple please develop an app dedicated to controlling these AirPods .

Fine, but I struggle with retention in ears and not truly hearing aid substitutes.
For all the Apple hype related to hearing aid capability and substitution, I’ll go on record and say that these earbuds are just that: hype. But, I’m not fond of hearing aids in the first place, so my view might be a bit extreme. For the price, they are OK high-end earbuds, but tend to emphasize the higher frequencies. My favorite for listening to music are Sennheisers and generally use them.I don’t care for the Apple “stems” sticking out of your ears. And the buds tend to slip out if chewing. I bought retention straps to avoid losing the earbuds…which kind of defeats the purpose of “wireless” earbuds. All in all, I wouldn’t buy these buds again, but it was a worthwhile test of what hearing aids are capable of. It saved me $2,000 or so from buying “real” hearing aids.

Make sure you update your iPhone version
So far I like them. I have moderate hearing loss. I wear hearing aids that my old insurance company paid for. I’m always panicked that I’m going to lose one or both of them because they cost $8000 and my current insurance company does not cover hearing aids. I like having these AirPods because they give me a back ups so I’m not always paranoid about losing my hearing aids.I just got them set up as hearing aids today and so far I like them. It was rather frustrating because I did not see the hearing aid option because my phone did not have the updated rev on it. Updated to newest iPhone rev. It was a quick and easy process to set up the hearing aids. I have until January 15 to decide if I want to keep them or not. As of this writing I think I will keep them, but I will update my review if I change my mind.

Good hearing aids, but not perfect.
I think they’re quite similar to my much more pricey 5 year-old Oticon OPN’s at a much better price. Their ambient noise reduction is much better than my traditional hearing aids, but increasing ambient noise reduction also unfortunately diminishes overall hearing. They’re still not perfect for the holy grail of conversation in noisy environments, like restaurants or with quiet talkers. Hopefully, someday they will have a way of saving different modes, such as home, restaurant, driving, etc. If you rather spend $200 or less and get decent hearing aids and are fine with their somewhat short battery life and visibility, then these could serve you quite well.

Hearing boost and sound quality are excellent
In case any of you are needing a hearing boost—I do—I highly recommend the AirPods Pro 2 that have recently been approved as a hearing aid. They are about a quarter of the cost of other hearing aids. They can be used for noise cancellation as well as their usual functions. I resisted AirPods because my ear canal just doesn’t conform to how they were shaped, but these come with 4 different sized tips. I found a perfect size. The hearing test was easy to take and confirmed my mild hear loss. This is not a paid announcement, I’m just really impressed by the hearing boost and that they fit!😂The sound quality for listening to music is excellent. I haven’t found the need to recharge them during the day, but I don’t use them all day, either. The noise cancellation is 99.99% which is sufficient.

Best Apple product I’ve bought.
I’ve always had Apple products, except for AirPods. I had the first generation years ago and they were alright, but the amount of technology they put into the Pro 2’s is crazy. My favorite thing is the noise cancellation/background noise adjustment. If you need to zone out and do whatever the noise cancellation is so good I couldn’t hear my industrial sized fan in my workshop. But when I need to hear things on the outside while still blasting my music, put it on transparent mode and you can hear people talking no issue. Best product for people that have consistently adjusting environments but love to listen to music 24/7 as do myself.

A Worthwhile Upgrade for Better Noise Cancellation and Convenience
I’ve been a long-time fan of the original AirPods Pro, but I hesitated to upgrade to the AirPods Pro 2 because the changes seemed minor. However, I finally took the plunge, and I’m glad I did!The noise cancellation is noticeably better, which is a game-changer for me, especially at the gym where the music is often too loud and not to my taste. The new AirPods Pro 2 block out the noise almost entirely, allowing me to focus on my workout without distractions.Another feature that sold me is the hearing health capabilities. The new all-in-one experience to test, aid, and help protect your hearing is a fantastic addition. It’s reassuring to know that my earbuds are not just providing great sound but also looking out for my hearing health.I also appreciated the USB-C charging. It’s super convenient not having to carry both a Lightning and USB-C cable anymore. Now, both my phone and AirPods use the same charger, which simplifies my life a lot.Lastly, I got these on sale, which made the decision even easier. While the changes from the first generation might seem incremental, the improvements in noise cancellation, hearing health features, and charging convenience make the AirPods Pro 2 a worthwhile upgrade.Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for a solid pair of wireless earbuds.

These are the GOAT
Hands down, the best wireless ear buds I’ve ever seen. There are no downsides, and every feature works perfectly..Features? There’s a lot! The sound / noise cancelation works better than any other headphone or ear bud I’ve ever tried. Want to know what it’s like to be deaf? Turn it on. Just don’t forget it’s on, you’ll hear nothing! Touch controls are useful to control your content, take calls, or stop/start movies without touching the device. Best feature, transparency mode! Not only is this frequency response adjustable (EQ), and amplification controllable, but can also be used as a hearing aid!.. Yes, it’s true, as I’ve used this and it actually works better than $8000 hearing aids (in every possible way). Another cool feature is you can charge the case on a wireless charging pad, like mag safe. Just throw it on the charger, and in about an hour, you’re case and AirPods (if they’re in the case) are charged. They also work with any bluetooth sound. Just press the button on the side of the case to pair, and it won’t interfere when you go back to your phone or iPad, connects right away again. The Bluetooth connectivity is second to none! Bring it near the iPhone, and it instantly connects, then need to switch to iPad, connects to that again. The range is very good too. For me, it works through out the house. This beats carrying your cell phone around to not miss a text or call. Text come is, and Siri will announce it to you.Battery life is very good, nearly 6 hours and they recharge fast.Comfort is good, the buds are lightweight too. They do tend to fall out of my ears, but that’s my problem, not a fault of the device.Sound quality is excellent. Although disclaimer, I have some hearing loss, so hard to judge this. I used to be a professional sound engineer, and from what hearing I have left, I can tell you they Apple nailed it! Some advice: don’t become a sound engineer if you wish to have normal hearing after age 35.Design and form factor. Again, second to none. Seems like everyone copied Apple on design, but Apple keeps leading. The case is beautiful and elegant. The magnetic closure holds the lid down, and holds the buds in the case sockets. Has one USB C port on the bottom for easy connections. Also has a lanyard loop (which I think is the Bluetooth antenna too). The rubber ear pieces are easy to remove and a great design.Function, no bugs I can find, and if there are any I find them! No software upgrades needed.Like I said, these are the GOAT. If you have an iPhone or iPad, or Mac, these are a must have product. If you need noise cancelation, take calls in noisy areas, these are the ones too. Highly recommended.

Apple AirPods (2nd Generation) Review
The Apple AirPods 2 are a solid choice for anyone looking to experience the convenience of truly wireless earbuds without breaking the bank on the latest model. The seamless pairing with Apple devices is outstanding, making them a great choice for iPhone, iPad, or Mac users. The H1 chip ensures fast connectivity and smooth switching between devices, enhancing the experience. Audio quality is good, with clear highs and mids, though bass lovers might find it a bit lacking compared to some competitors.Battery life is decent, providing around 5 hours on a single charge, with the case offering an additional 24 hours. The “Hey Siri” hands-free feature works well, making it easy to control music, take calls, or ask for directions without pulling out your device. While the lack of noise cancellation may be a downside for some, the open-ear design makes it comfortable for extended wear and keeps you aware of your surroundings—ideal for outdoor use.Overall, the AirPods 2 offer reliable, fuss-free wireless audio with Apple’s signature polish. For those in the Apple ecosystem looking for a functional and user-friendly option, they remain a good value in 2024, despite newer alternatives on the market.

On first use, watch for the firmware to update
The buyer should be cautioned that the firmware of the product needs a little time to update itself before it is used. When we first tried the hearing test, we got the message “Unable to Use These Air Pods. The hearing test requires AirPods Pro 2nd generation.” When we compared the firmware version of another AirPods Pro 2 that worked, we discovered the new one had 6F8 while the working one had 7B21. About an hour later, the new one’s firmware had become 7B21 and that scary message disappeared: the hearing test worked and we indeed had the 2nd generation. Scary message! We feared the wrong product was in the box.

Lost & Found
I recently lost my Apple AirPods Pro 2’s. I was devastated. And no I’m not being dramatic. LOL It’s very rare that I lose things and it felt like I was really missing something I love… I have the AirPods 3rd Generations and no intentions on buying the 4th Gens because they are no comparison to the Pro 2’s. Hands down the Pro 2’s are my favorite and had to be replaced immediately. The features like Active Noise Cancellation, Adaptive Transparency and Spatial Audio allow me to tailor my listening experience, I can literally shut out the world and/or decide when I want to be social while still enjoying what I am listening to. So buying them on Amazon for the price PLUS the Apple Care Protection plan was a no brainer. I still paid less than I would have if I bought them directly from Apple. Instead of Apple engraving them I found this cute clear protective case from LianaCases here on Amazon…My AirPods were promptly delivered the very next day. Packing was perfect and I knew I received a NEW pair of AirPods, no fakes or refurbished ones. Very satisfied with my purchase. Now I feel whole again.

Sounds good, comfortable in ears
I’ve tried a few other earbuds and couldn’t wear them for long because they made me feel dizzy for some reason. But these AirPods are light and comfortable; soon I don’t even notice I’m wearing them. Setup was really easy. As soon as I opened the case they connected to my iPhone without my having to do anything. There’s a lot of options with the setup to tailor the sound to your liking as well as the type of noise reduction (if any) that is preferred. The AirPods switch cleanly from the iPhone to my Mac, depending on which device is the source. Making and receiving calls are easy tasks, too. As far as using the stems for controls, my only beef is that I find it somewhat difficult to adjust the volume levels by swiping my finger along the stem, being successful about 1/3 to 1/2 the time. But the functions that require pressing on the stem work just fine. Sound-wise, I find these AirPods to have clean, balanced sound – very natural, with no exaggeration of any portion of the audio spectrum. Also, Amazon’s price is lower than buying directly from Apple – at least it was when I purchased mine. Another thing I should mention is that the settings include the opportunity to take a hearing test, which I found to be quite useful. Overall, I’m very happy.

airpods as hearing aids – tips & tricks
I had Airpods Pro (gen 1) for a while and didn’t feel the need to upgrade. Then Apple recently announced that the FDA approved Airpods Pro 2 as over-the-counter hearing aids. At first, I thought I’d wait till the next version but then I reconsidered and ordered a pair.I’ve been using them now for about a week, as hearing aids mostly, and am quite impressed. Apple seems to have gone above and beyond with this feature. It’s not perfect but it also doesn’t come across as rushed out.The hearing / audiology test that you take with your iPhone or iPad is very intuitive and easy, then you can apply it to your Airpods to use them as hearing aids. It’s still obviously in its early stages, and I hope they’ll improve upon the software, but it’s pretty impressive. Some controls and menus are overly deep, or even kind of hidden, so it takes some time so find your way around. There is even more than one way to do the same thing, like switch between test results.I found the site Alternapop useful for guidance and tips. For the price, they are hard to beat for occasional hearing aid use. I plan on using them to watch movies at home so I don’t have to crank up the sound. They’ll be great when watching movies at other’s homes so they won’t have to crank the sound or turn on closed captioning. For more professional hearing aids with better processing in various environments, and programmability, you’ll have to step up to the much higher price range but these are hard to beat for the price.

Hearing Aid mode really works.
I spent $200 for Airpod Pro, and $200 for a 9th gen Ipad, and I have hearing aids!My $5000 pairs are broken, and this is a pretty good replacement for now. It took a bit of figuring out how to get the Ipad to do what was needed, but once that part was done, I can wear the earbuds full time as hearing aids. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5: the drawbacks I read about are accurate. The battery life is about 6 hours, so I have to charge them in the middle of the day. And, the volume range could be much better. I know the volume capability of the earbuds, and the hearing amplification doesn’t use more than a small fraction. And, the voice amplification is pretty good, but they also amplify background noises like clicking of silverware on plates way more than they should. If these items are improved, 5 stars for sure.If you are considering this, here’s some tips I wish I knew. First, absolutely use Mimi for the hearing test. Then, activate your hearing profile in Apple Health and enable it for the earbuds. To get them in hearing aid mode, I go the bluetooth settings, sync the earbuds to the ipad. An airpod pro item appears in settings. I select that and the controls are there. That’s all there is to it. I can turn off the ipad and go about my day. When I recharge the earbuds and put them back in, they are still in hearing aid mode so I almost never even need the ipad.Update: to get the last bit of volume out of hearing aid mode, be sure to turn OFF conversation boost. It turns the airpods into directional mikes, and boosts whatever is directly in front of you by decreasing the volume of everything else. Turning it off gave me a noticeable increase in volume. Be sure to try it.

Best noise cancelling (both ends of a call), great volume, and they stay in my ears. The trifecta.
I travel for a living, and mostly use my device for listening to audiobooks and music. I had been gifted, by my brother, a pair of Studio Beats which I liked, but got mixed reviews from others when taking phone calls. In fact, my brother was the harshest critic, so when he suggested these Airpods Pro 2 were on sale, I placed an order. My expectations were low. The only earbuds that stay in my ears are the neckband style and the corded tapered Apple style that used to come with iPhones. Because I am often (even mostly) in loud industrial environments, a lack of volume is another frequent problem for me.But, not to worry!I was reading about the features and controls as I opened the package and got them in my ears, when my iPhone connected to them, and immediately began playing my music. It happened to be Stevie Ray Vaughan playing *The House is Rockin’* and I was overwhelmed. The volume was excellent, as was the sound. Second greatest fear of disappointment obliterated. Now excited, I, none the less, had to let Stevie Ray finish Rockin’, because, well, it was Stevie Ray.Making no adjustment to the fitted earpiece, the AirPods have not fallen out once– something my Beats could not have managed to do for so long a time and with such activity. I have had them about 24 hours and with moderate-to-heavy use. Simply walking would cause my beats to fall out, no matter what fitting I used.Moments ago, I completed the main test with a phone call with my Hi-Fi critic brother. Yesterday on the phone, wearing my Studio Beats, I went down carpeted stairs which only creaked softly, but he commented on the loud banging sound he was hearing– like doors slamming. Today, with my AirPods Pro 2, I walked about on the hardwood floors, microwaved my coffee in the kitchen, and went back to my bedroom, and then asked him about what background noise he has heard. “I haven’t heard anything. Try moving around some.”When I told him I had been, we were both very pleased. That was the final test. These are the best BlueTooth audio devices I have ever had– and I have paid more than this for some very good ones. The noise cancelling is stunning– almost eerie. I am not used to being in such a quiet environment. Just switched from “Adaptive” mode to “Noise Cancellation” as a big truck went by. Sound went to zero. My air conditioning and street noise (I live downtown) utterly go away by switching from “Transparency” to “Noise Cancellation.”A cool feature I had to turn OFF is “Conversation Awareness,” although I will probably want to make some use of it. The problem is, when I listen to music, I often sing along, and doing so with that feature enabled, quiets the music. My AirPods are not the first to complain about my singing, but perhaps the most subtle in doing so. I don’t really blame them.Everything else is at default settings, and I am most pleased with these.Small thing, but useful to me: The case is designed for adding a wrist or neck strap. I’m buying it a nice neck-strap. I want these with me.

Next Level
I already had an Airpod Pro second generation that work well, but being a mature gentleman, I wanted these mainly as a gateway to hearing augmentation. In short, this overdelivered in a good way.Once I got my phone upgraded, then waited for the firmware to be upgraded on the Airpods (yeah, you just sit there and wait), I finally got to take my hearing test with these. It said I have minor hearing loss in my left ear and pretty much no hearing loss in my right. All good. Next, I turned on the hearing aid mode and was ushered into a rich world of sound. These things are really amazing as hearing aids. While the sound was a little like sandpaper on a snare drum in a way, I could hear EVERYTHING. I had no idea that a bare foot on carpet was so loud and distinctive, that you can tell who is coming. It was like nothing I have experienced recently. As far as being a headset, the noise cancellation is phenomenal. I fired up my random orbit sander and dialed in my workbench in peace and only a very pleasant, quiet sound. I popped one out to make sure, and it was startling. These things really do work in noise cancellation, almost as well as my 3M cup type hearing protection!I have been an engineer for over 35 years, and it takes a lot to blow my wig back, but these things did just that.If you are young, maybe they are only “great”, but as a gentleman of 57 years, these are well and truly amazing. If you are over 50, you need these in your life.

Impressive sound after doing hearing test and frequency response adjustment
I did purchase this AirPod Pro 2 for helping my hearing in large echoey classrooms and killing background noise in restaurants. However, when I tried the units with spatial audio and head tracking selected, especially when listening to concerts online, the sound was immersive, had great ambience, transients, and bass; sounding much like a Dolby Atmos system. Most impressive is when I turn my head and the sound source remains in place with the hearing frequency response changing as it would in an actual live situation. The hearing aid feature. After the hearing test was completed, and the AirPods automatically adjusted to my hearing losses, my hearing became as good as a bird. I could hear scraping of my shoes on a carpet, squeaking floors, distant sounds that I had not ever been able to hear. All this does depends on how good you’re hearing is in the first place. I had an audiology hearing report that I scanned into my iPad, which I could even tweak. That was a little better than the AirPod internal test. This purchase was well above my expectations using my Apple iPad.The sound quality was not anything to write home about with an Android phone. For that I would purchase something else as there is no dedicated app for the AirPod.I did need to watch a couple YouTube videos for setting up the AirPods, as the enclosed manual was not helpful. Apple online documentation was fine, but not as good as watching someone actually doing a set up.

Seamless integration with Apple products, great quality sound
I bought these to use for noise cancellation when traveling. I wear hearing aids full time, but they don’t do much to reduce unwanted noise and are uncomfortable for long periods of time under noise-cancelling headphones. In my research I discovered that some earbuds now offer noise cancellation – and they’d fit more easily into my already tightly-packed personal item for flights. So I figured I could just switch out my hearing aids for the AirPods while on the plane. I was comparing reviews on these and the Bose Quiet Comfort II. Even though the Bose were rated slightly higher for noise cancellation, I decided to go with the Apple product because of the ease of linking to my other Apple devices.I haven’t had a chance to test them out on a plane yet, but preliminary checks with a nearby hair dryer and vacuum indicate they’ll be pretty effective. The sound quality is superb, and they are comfortable in my ears. I love that they come with 4 sizes of ear tips to allow for a good fit. The case is tiny, easy to fit in a pocket, and charges on an Apple watch or MagSafe charger or with a USB-C.I expected to use these only when traveling or in other loud environments. The surprise has been that I find myself wearing them at home in the evening, when I’m apt to be going between phone, iPad and computer for various uses. My hearing aids connect fine to my phone, but switching the bluetooth on them to another device is so cumbersome that I never even bother trying anymore. In contrast, once they are initially linked, the Apple AirPods connect automatically to all three devices and switch between them seamlessly. With the 30′ bluetooth range, I have the freedom to move between rooms and still hear whatever I was listening to without having to carry a device with me. Even with significant hearing loss, the AirPods’ clear sound allows me to take calls and hear the caller distinctly, and the outgoing microphone sound is also clear.

Odd occasional chirp but otherwise great
I bought these to use as a hearing enhancement aid (and yeah to listen to music also). Once the updated OS came out, I did the hearing test and they seem to be working fine for that purpose. The hearing test itself is very demanding that you are in a totally quiet place. I had to go to a quiet room and turn off the room air filter before it would do the test. I am not a fan of the volume of the sound they use to test the seating and if the air Pods are on and working because it is too loud. In case you are wondering, while I have lost the ability to hear some frequencies, I am still sensitive to loud noises/music. Other than that, for way less than hearing aids would cost these are going to be great. They work much better than the hearing aids I have and without the annoying squealing sound the hearing aids make. The range that they will pick up from the iPhone inside my housing is pretty good also. I did get the Apple Care deal for these in case they fall out of the case (which is very easy if you drop it because the lid flies open easily and the air Pods make a break for it) and get crunched beneath my clumsy feet. I would buy these again.

Fantastic! I got them primarily for the hearing aid feature – and it changed my life!
I have to attend many meetings and often leave wondering what the discussion topic was. I can hear/understand adequate in a 1:1 conversation but anything beyond that is impossible for me. So I decided to give these ear pods with this special OTC hearing aid feature (just came out Oct. 28th) a try. I took the hearing test (only takes 5+ minutes and is very easy to do) which showed that I’m right at the border of mild-moderate (40 db and 39 db respectively) hearing loss. I tested them during six meetings in different room sizes, different crowd sizes and set-ups so far, and I could hear every word that was spoken very clearly! I still have to figure out how to dampen other noises around while using the hearing aid feature (if that’s possible) but as in general these meetings are quite organized and quiet it didn’t really interfere. My next step will be to try them in a public place, like a restaurant or so. I will post an update once I had a chance to use them in different situations and circumstances.Additional to that I’m very impressed with the noise cancellation when listening to music or documentary etc. Stunning! I’m not a sound expert and always got the cheapest ear phones/buds but these certainly are very different to anything I ever tried.

Use as Hearing Aids
I absolutely finds the Apple AirPods2 to be outstanding as hearing aids for me.I was diagnosed six months ago with moderate hearing loss by a local audiologist who wanted to charge me $6,000 for hearing aids. I explored over the counter aids and purchased Jaba hearing aids. They worked ok but I had problem understanding the voice clarity on the tv. I purposed the AirPods 2When Apple approved ios version 18.1 I took the hearing test as well as uploading my hearing report.I can hear perfectly with these AirPods. The sound quality is outstanding and I love how it interacts with my other Apple watch, phone and ipad. Since the battery only lasts about six hours, I bought another set so I could have coverage all day.I also bought from Amazon the R-fun full drop protection charging cases, the WC Hook. over the ear hooks, and the Magnetic AirPods straps.I am over 70 years of age and highly recommend the Apple AirPods 2 as hearing aids for those with mild to moderate hearing loss.

AirPods Pro 2: Subtle Upgrades, Major Impact for Everyday Users
I’ve owned multiple pairs of AirPods over the years—standard, Pro, and even the Max version. Up until now, my favorite had always been the first-generation AirPods Pro. But after debating whether or not to get the second-generation AirPods Pro, I finally took the plunge, and I’m glad I did. Here’s what I’ve noticed after using them. The biggest improvement I noticed right away was the noise cancellation. I spend a lot of time in loud environments, whether it’s in a workshop or just crowded spaces, and the V2’s ANC works much better at filtering out background noise. There’s also this new feature where it seems to adjust based on voices around you, something that wasn’t in the first version. It’s made a noticeable difference when I need to focus or block out distractions. In terms of sound, I wouldn’t say it’s a night-and-day difference, but the bass feels more punchy in this new version. The sound is crisper overall, but unless you’re really paying attention, the upgrade might seem subtle. One of the best things about the AirPods Pro (V2) is the improvement in battery life. I’m getting almost double the usage time compared to the first-gen. Plus, Apple finally switched to USB-C charging, which feels long overdue. The wireless charging has also been more reliable—no more overheating or endless charging cycles like I had with the older model.Something I always look for in Apple products is quality, and I’m happy to report that it’s still there. These AirPods feel sturdy, and they work flawlessly with my other Apple devices. Pairing them is almost instant, and the upgraded FindMy feature has been a lifesaver. The fact that the charging case can now make a noise when lost is incredibly useful—something the previous model didn’t offer, which was a frustrating limitation.AppleCare+ remains as good as ever, and I continue to recommend it for all Apple products. This time around, they’ve made it simpler by offering an option to bundle it directly with the purchase, so you don’t have to activate it later on. It saves you the hassle, and it ensures that you’re covered from day one.For me, the most crucial factor is how much I use these. I wear my AirPods a lot—whether I’m listening to music or just using them for noise cancellation during daily tasks. If you’re like me and have these in your ears for hours on end, the V2 is absolutely worth the upgrade. But if you’re not using them constantly, you might want to hold off for the next version that’s likely coming soon.In conclusion, while the second-generation AirPods Pro might not be a massive leap in sound quality for the average listener, the combination of better noise cancellation, battery life, and new features make it a solid upgrade. For regular users like me, it’s definitely worth the investment, but casual users might be just fine sticking with their current pair.

READ BEFORE PURCHASE! 😊
First, please comment if you have any questions and I would love to respond to help!I had the AirPods Pro Gen1 prior to these, but the new AirPods blew them out of the water. The added ear tips make customability even better especially for small ears like mine. The Active Noise Cancellation is clearly superior to the first generation and the addition of Adaptive audio is super cool and very useful. The battery is even better than I was expecting. The AirPods charge super fast in the case, and the case charging itself is also super fast. The USB-C cord is a very nice addition especially with the new, more common, USB-C charging block. The new Apple Braided USB-C cord is also a small but nice touch.I personally do not use the ring on the side, but I imagine many people may find it useful. The addition of the Find My capabilities with both the case and the AirPods themselves is beyond helpful because I always seem to misplace them. Small bonus, every time you charge the case or the AirPods, the case sounds off a little chime to let you know that they are charging or if the battery is low.As an owner of the AirPods Max and a former owner of the AirPods Pro gen 1, I would 100% recommend this new generation. The noise cancellation is superior to the gen 1, but slightly behind the Maxes because they are in-ear instead of over-ear. If you want the maxes, I would get them, but it depends on your activities. I have noticed recently how good the sound quality is. It’s stunning. Sometimes I still prefer my Maxes for certain listening experiences or if I’m heavily invested in a movie or I have a long flight, but the quality on the 2nd gen pros is so crisp. Some pitches you can notice are superior to that of the Maxes. In terms of listen, Maxes win, but it’s so damn close. AirPods Pro are ideal because they are small, discrete, and light weight. You can slip them in your pocket or place just one in your ear. They are also very useful and comfortable to use while working out, as opposed to the maxes. The AirPods are quite durable too. If my first pair is any indication to this pair, then I promise you, they can take a beating. After 4 years of having the first gen AirPods Pro, I have thrown them around, dropped them hundreds of times and they often got small scratches, but only chipped once or twice after higher falls on super hard surfaces. But they worked every single time.Long story short, if you’re on the fence, get them. They are super great for travel, workouts/runs, house chores, and all activities in general.Hope you find this helpful, if you have any questions please comment them!

Nicest headset out there!
Dear Apple,You made a great pair of headphones. The clarity is superb, the noise cancellation can be used for any task (that requires some ear protection like shooting at a gun range, for example), the fact you can nod your head to answer a call or shake your head to reject a call, the battery life, the fit, everything is so nicely made. My favorite feature is the head movement to answer or deny a call. I am not sure how they achieved this but I am very happy with it to be honest. I thought it was a gimmick and it would never work but it works perfectly on my 16Pro. I came from a set of Beats earbuds and they didn’t have this feature and they’re made by Apple as well. I think I will get one for my dad because he’s always wanted one. This is by far the best earbuds for the price. Thanks again Apple!

Amazing Sound Experience!
I was really impressed by the Apple AirPods Pro 2 in every single regard that I possibly could have imagined. As soon as I inserted them, inserting them I felt as if I had entered a brand new realm of audio and ease that was unprecedented. The ANC actually isolates me and put me in the middle of not so pretty environment. I am so happy with my Hearing Aid feature that enables me to hear and hold a conversation in a noisy place.Good use of sound, bright, balanced and potent. With the help of the H2 chip, the connection is always stable and there are no such issues as the interruption or the delay. The other feature is the Transparency mode through which I am able to have a feel of my surrounding environment without removing my earbuds. Although not specifically important for sports or fitness activities, the owners of the headphones are sure to be grateful for the discrete, personalized spatial audio giving the listener the impression that the music is literally surrounding them. The new trend of USB-C charging case is more convenient and versatile than the previous models of the charger. It is also a good holder of charge and up to date I have not had a problem with the battery being drained. The build quality felt really solid and there’s no discomfort wearing it all day with the foam earpieces that you can adjust to your size. I have no discomfort or a problem with them coming off when I exercise or when I am in any physical activity. It provide great combination of design, comfort and acoustics which are tough to come by in any competitor’s products. So, if you’re searching for a premium wireless earbud, I highly recommend those to you. You will not be disappointed!

These are fantastic! First pair of AirPods. I use the hearing aid functionality
A couple months ago I got “commercial” hearing aids from the VA. However, I didn’t like how they operated so I gave them back, and they’re going to order a different brand/model, which I’ll have in about three months (!) So I went in search of quality, inexpensive hearing aids to fill the gap. (My hearing loss is considered mild, at -32db on one side and -39db on the other.) I got the AirPods last Friday, and the software for hearing aid support rolled out last night (iOS 18.1) So this will be a two part review.Part one is the overall operation as earbuds for music and calls. These are my first ever Apple branded sound devices. Once I got the correct tips installed and the buds fitted, I was ready to go. OMG! The sound quality overall is the best of any earbuds I’ve ever owned, and by a huge margin. Astonishing bass, and crisp high range. (My hearing loss is in the upper ranges.) I’m beyond happy. Overall, the only thing I’m dissatisfied with is the battery life at 5-6 hours, but the extremely fast recharge speed eases that compliant. Voice quality when on a call is crystal clear. Controls are easy, though a bit hard to operate considering how small they are.Part two is the hearing aid function. The first thing I had to do was take a hearing test with the included software. (However, if you prefer to use a third party hearing test, you can import that profile and use it.) The hearing test takes about 5 minutes, after which the hearing aid sound enhancement profile is set automatically and they start up. I was totally gobsmacked at how well these things work! They boost the exact freqs I need. They actually work considerably better than those $7000 (egads!) hearing aids that I returned. Now for the ANC. At home, I sit right in front of a large, noisy window air conditioner. On the opposite side of the room is a dehumidifier (I live in south central Texas, where it was 91° yesterday.) Between these two pieces of equipment, it’s pretty noisy here. I turned on ANC and the room went absolutely silent. So silent that I thought I’d popped a circuit breaker and everything had stopped running. I removed one of the AirPods, and the noise returned. Amazing. In short, everything I’d hoped the commercial hearing aids would do, the AirPods actually DID. I consider this the smartest purchase I’ve made in years. Only one negative, and that’s the ear tips. None of the provided sizes are a good fit for me, so I’m now looking to memory foam replacements. But that’s a very small gripe. If you’re looking at these, either for music or hearing, don’t hesitate. You’ll be glad you got them.EDIT: I had to go to a doctor appointment across town today. Part of the route is on a toll highway with an 80 mph speed limit and heavy traffic. I got up to speed and turned on noise cancel mode. INSTANTLY the car was completely silent at 80 mph. No road rumble, no engine noise, no wind noise, no traffic noise. It was an amazing and invigorating experience. Oh, for those wondering about recharge time, if you take them all the way down to 0% battery and they shut down (I’ve now ascertained that 6 hours is about what you get with all the options turned on), it only takes about 15 minutes in the charge case and you’ll easily get another 3-4 hours out of them.EDIT2: Okay, I’ve had these for almost a month, and I just keep liking them more and more. I didn’t mention pairing in my original text above, so I need to mention it here. There is, in effect, no pairing that you need to do, at least in the Apple-verse. By the time I’d opened the charging case and looked at the buds, they’d already paired with both my iPhone and iPad. I didn’t have to go into settings on my iOS devices, or press any buttons on the case. Just open case and it’s done. As a computer engineer for 40 years, I have never seen a faster or more seamless pairing of anything. One more word on recharging: just today I took them all the way to zero. Dropped them in the charger and in FIVE MINUTES they were at 24%.I am in love with the hearing aid functionality. I hear sounds in movies that I’d never heard before in my life, even when my hearing was perfect. And I can adjust amplification either by going into settings on my iPhone, or sliding my finger up or down on the stem.

Excellent hearing aid
While people typically buy AirPods for listening to music and so on, I was excited to hear that Apple had included FDA approved hearing aid features to their AirPod Pro 2. My previous hearing aids had died and I had tried 4, yes 4, other hearing amplifiers/aids in the attempt to replace the ones that died. As a registered old fart, I have used expensive hearing aids that cost thousands of dollars to the ones I pick up on Amazon for $100 or so. For me, there was not much qualitative difference between the expensive ones and the cheap ones.So I purchased the AirPod Pro 2 and hoped for the best. Wow! I am impressed. While the set I got didn’t have the latest firmware, thanks to the Apple community, the update was accomplished quickly and with my iPhone 12 already running iOS 18.1, I was good to go. While I’m still tinkering with settings, I can say definitively that these work great for me. Parenthetically, you need at least an iPhone 12 running iOS 18.1 or greater for the hearing aid feature to work. But work it does. They are very comfortable in my ears. There is zero beeping on any kind. The sound is great. They are very affordable. And then there’s all the other stuff they can do that might or might not be of interest to me. As for music listening? Brilliant. The only downside from my experience is that these came with basically no useable instructions. This was, by far, the worst set of user instructions I have ever seen. They could have saved a very little paper by not including anything at all. But thanks to the very competent Apple user community, I got what I needed to make everything work. As aforementioned, I’m an old fart and like to read instructions. Just sayin’.Bottom line: excellent hearing aids and a great price and oh by the way you get a superior listening experience for your music and so on as an added bonus. I will be using these from now on. Highly recommend!

Impressive Performance with a Few Drawbacks
The Apple AirPods Pro 2 truly elevate the listening experience, especially with their impressive noise cancellation and adaptive audio features. The sound quality is crisp, with enhanced bass and clarity that makes music and calls enjoyable. I also love the convenience of the USB-C charging and the quick pairing with Apple devices, which is seamless as expected. The added hearing aid mode is a great bonus and works well for ambient sound clarity. However, there are a couple of limitations worth noting. First, the battery life could be better—lasting about six hours per charge, which requires recharging in the middle of the day if you use them continuously. Additionally, although the silicone ear tips come in multiple sizes, they don’t always provide a perfect fit for everyone. For longer listening sessions, the fit can feel slightly uncomfortable, especially when moving around or working out.Overall, they are a worthwhile upgrade, especially for Apple users, but there’s some room for improvement to make them perfect for all-day wear.

You must buy these their perfect
I’ve had these AirPods for almost 2 years and let me say that they are the best purchase you will ever make. I’ve never written a review but I had to because of how magnificent these are. The noice cancelling is amazing, for my first test I sat in a chair playing loud music turned away from a piano. I sat and waited, then took one out to tell her to start playing. To my astonishment she had been playing for a while and I didn’t even notice. The transparency mode is amazing as well because you’ll often forget there even in your ears because it plays the sound so well. You can even hear the slightest brush of your fingers it’s like there not even in. They are extremely comfortable and fit perfectly in your ears. They hardly weigh anything but they still have amazing battery life. They are extremely durable and water resistant as well. I had one in my pocket and as I went to get the mail it fell out. An hour later after searching and searching I found it in the road in the snow with tire tracks right over it practically burying it. It took it home thinking it would be completely ruined, but besides worse noice cancelling and a big scratch on the side (which is only cosmetic damage) it works perfectly. And don’t even get me started on the audio quality. I have high quality head phones and these AirPods Pro 2 blow them out of the water and they are extremely portable. The precision find my is also so nice because it also doubles as an AirTag. I put them on my keys and haven’t lost them since. Seriously the best product I’ve ever purchased because I use them hours daily. The only possible downside I could even think of is if you have very large ears, they may not fit great since the tips only go to extra large. Also don’t buy apple care plus. It’s a scam because they are literally indestructible and impossible to lose. Best $250 dollars ever spent would give 10 stars if possible. Seriously besides my phone, which I use to connect with my AirPods, there is nothing I use more than these AirPod pros. Also I exercise in them all the time and unless intentionally trying to knock them out, they’ve never fallen out. Oh yeah and also they are perfect for taking calls as well. And they fit perfectly into the overpriced apple ecosystem.

Big Improvement over 1st Gen, not so sure they are hearing aids
I was fairly satisfied with my first generation AirPods Pro, having bought them several years ago mostly for use when working out. When Apple announced the addition of hearing aids features, I thought it was a good excuse to upgrade. And it would be one less lightning connector I’d have to contend with. This review is written for those of you who are considering upgrading.I bought these prior to the release of iOS 18.1. The setup was the same as before, find comfortable rubbers, run the test that plays the little tune and that’s it. With iOS 18.0 the sound didn’t seem much better over Gen 1 AirPods Pro, but the noise cancellation was an improvement. However, with the update to 18.1 there’s a big change. There’s now a hearing assistance screen where you toggle on hearing aids. You’re prompted to take a hearing test. This test is similar to hearing tests you might have had in school or at a doctors’ office where tones of differing pitch and loudness are played and you tap a button on the screen when you hear it. It takes about 10 minutes or so. The phone/earbuds then produce a profile based on your test results. You can also take the report to an audiologist (the report is in the Health app), although I’m not all that sure they’d bother to review it.Once you’ve done a hearing test the hearing aid is enabled. You can then make adjustments to the default settings. I found the default setting to have far too much high end for my liking and too much gain as well. But then again maybe I’m just used to being half-deaf. 😉 I did discover I have a device with a bad fan though, so maybe that’s a good thing. I don’t seem to get any squealing or feedback when using the hearing aid feature but I’ve only used it a few times. It did come in handy when at a meeting with a quiet talker speaking, boosting up the sound made it much easier to listen. But ultimately I’d say the hearing aid function is a gimmick. If you’re really worried about hearing loss, go to an audiologist. However, there is one thing that going through the hearing test and setting up hearing assistance does improve and that’s the playback of music. Because it is able to adjust EQ to match your hearing profile there’s a drastic improvement in how good the AirPods sound. I’d put them on par with my Bose QC-3 headset now, maybe even slightly better (Bose still has much better noise cancellation of course). Adaptive noise cancellation works but tends to be little too aggressive, so I just use full cancellation. The personalized volume and conversation awareness functions are also a little too touchy and seem to be constantly changing the volume control in response to false alarms. I’m sure they’ll get better over time but for now I wouldn’t say they’re a reason to switch. They also have the same problems connecting to whatever random device happens to grab them. I work out with my Watch but leave my phone at home. So if I start playing a podcast or music in my driveway it will originate from my iPhone, even if I’m using my watch to initiate the media. It is getting slightly better in that eventually the AirPods will abandon the iPhone then connect to the Watch (I used to have to pull them out of my ears, wait a few seconds then try to start playback on the watch), but there’s still a gap of a few annoying seconds while they sort things out. Again, not the end of the world, but seems like a solvable problem. If you’re hoping to get budget hearing aids, look elsewhere. I can’t imagine wearing these for 12-16 hours a day. I’m not so sure the batteries will last that long anyway. Besides, you’re wearing earbuds, so people probably won’t realize you’re using them in hearing aid mode. And let’s all admit it, they look kind of dorky.

These Are a Good Option
I’ve tried several hearing aid substitutes over the years, my past favorite being the now unavailable Bose Hearphones and costing $500. Rather than just a sound amplifier, these had several functions allowing you to filter and focus sounds in various ways and for various situations. They were pretty good. But now Apple has added some great features to their EarPods 2—features that function like far more expensive hearing aids and at about half the price of the Bose product. I’ve owned these for a month or so and am now just getting the hang of how to use them. If there is a downside to these earbuds it is the rather deep and confusing tech included in them (or, at least confusing for a grandfatherly type like me). Once they are Bluetooth connected to your iPhone (They connect very easily with the button on the front of the EarPod’s charging case. Once they connect they should automatically connect every time.) and you open the case near your phone, you will be able to access all the functions by tapping the “settings” app on your phone. A new heading will appear near the top of the list just below the box with your name and iCloud options. Tapping on this will allow you to drill down through several pages of options. There are a lot of options there and it can be confusing, but experimenting with the various functions will help you figure out their purpose. The key here is to drill down to find the audiology test for hearing loss. It will lead you through a series of tones varying in pitch and volume. The end will result in an audiogram that can be used to program your EarPods as hearing aids. As stated before, it took me several weeks to find and activate this feature, but when I did a whole new experience dawned. Just be patient and search around for this function. It works very well.Of course, these things also serve as EarPods to listen to music or podcasts. (May I recommend “Pat Gray Unleashed!” if your bent is conservative commentary and just plain fooling around). The quality of sound is phenomenal and the buds are more comfortable than most to keep for extended time in your ears. To control the volume for this function you can TRY to use the external control buttons located on those silly looking stems that hang out of your ears (good luck) OR just slide up with one finger from the bottom of your phone screen to open the “System Services” page (where it’s got all the little control buttons) and slide the volume slider up or down. If your EarPods are connected and in your ears you’ll see the slider is marked as such.I really like these things now that I’m a little more familiar with them. If I discover more, I’ll edit this comment.

Outstanding Sound and Noise Cancellation
I recently picked up the Apple AirPods Pro 2, and I’m honestly blown away by how much they’ve improved. The sound quality is outstanding—rich, detailed, and clear across all types of music. The high-fidelity sound really stands out, especially when paired with the personalized spatial audio, which makes everything feel immersive. I love how the sound adjusts to my head movements, creating a more dynamic listening experience. The active noise cancellation (ANC) is incredible. I use these to tune out distractions during my commute or when I need to focus, and they work like a charm. Whether I’m on a noisy subway or just in a crowded room, the ANC blocks out most of the background noise, making it easy to hear my music or podcast clearly. There’s also the Transparency mode, which is great when I need to hear my surroundings without taking the earbuds out. It’s a perfect balance, especially if you’re walking or biking and still need to stay aware of your environment.Setup was super easy, just like with all Apple products. The seamless integration with my iPhone was a breeze, and connecting via Bluetooth was instant. The new H2 chip definitely delivers—everything feels snappy, and the sound quality is even more refined than the previous model. One feature that stood out to me is the hearing aid capability. It’s a nice touch for anyone who might need it, and it works surprisingly well. I didn’t expect this feature to be as useful as it is, but it made a difference in certain situations where I wanted to hear conversations more clearly without turning the volume up too high. The fit is comfortable and secure, thanks to the various ear tip sizes that help create a perfect seal. I can wear these for hours without discomfort. The new USB-C charging is a welcome upgrade too—charging is faster and more convenient, especially if you’re using other USB-C devices. There’s very little to complain about, but I will note that, like most true wireless earbuds, the battery life could be a bit longer if you’re using ANC and high volumes constantly. But with the charging case, I’ve found that it’s easy to top them off throughout the day.

For the most part, the Airpod Pro earbuds do a decent job of staying in (versus the last two iterations that wouldn’t stay in if I happened to look in any direction other than forward). But, there was still that feeling and doubt that made me worry that they may fall out for whatever reason. After looking for weeks to find something that would work (including some that apparently caused some of the functionality of the earbuds to not work because it covered it up), these popped up. I was hesitant b/c it seemed so new and there were so few reviews, but in the end, figured if it worked, great! If not, then that would be reflected in this review. Ultimately, I’m happy to report that they work exactly like they should, minus a single flaw that can be overlooked, if you’re willing to deal with the slight inconvenience. The package arrived (thank you, Prime!) quickly, and the box looks like any box that would contain these sorts of things. I don’t know, there’s nothing special to report there. What’s nice is that they include 3 pairs (all the same size) that fit very snugly over each earbud, and each cover does NOT…cover…the little black, whatever-they-are-they-look-like-vents.Airpod functionality is not affected as they still pause when you take them out of your ears. The stems are obviously not affected, and once they’re in your ears, they do a good job of holding the Airpod in place (despite some extremely vigorous headshaking)I have only two requests for future versions of these:1. Make different size “wing” tips. Mine fit ok, and the tip doesn’t push too hard into the ear; just enough to hold the earbud in place.2. The case doesn’t close when you put the earbuds into the charging case.#1 would just be nice. As far as #2 is concerned, however, that cannot be helped. The Airpod Pros are not designed to have any add-ons as they would interfere with the case closing. I tried giving it a squeeze to close the case (very gently), but no dice. You’ll just have to pop them off, but they come off so quickly and easily that it shouldn’t be a problem. I’d recommend getting a case for your Airpod Pros (yes, a case for the case), and store the additional earbud tips that way.Overall, I’m very satisfied with these. I’ve paired these with some memory foam tips to get a better seal as well. Not necessary, but it helps. Anyway, great purchase and great item!TL;DRPros- Does not interfere with primary functionality- Keeps each earbud very secure in the ear (YMMV)- Easy to pop on and off each earbud- Comes in three pairs in case you lose any of themCons- Can’t close the case with them on- Tips are only one size

These are fantastic ear buds
Well first off, I have been an AirPod guy for a while.I have also been a cheap AirPod guy too, meaning I have always bought the basic ones and been pretty happy with them, for the most part. I’m a carpenter and so things get treated a bit rough with me but I have always longed for something a bit better, meaning better quality sound, maybe some noise cancelation and just a better ear bud all around. I really wanted to have that precision “find me app” quality that AirTags have but the older more basic air pods don’t have it. They claimed to but not once did they play a sound and not once could I find them with the find my app, these have the precision locating and also play a loud tone .. but also (see below)Recently I ran my latest AirPods through the washer. Caught it early… but honestly too late, the charging case was full of water and went directly into rice. R.I.P old ear buds. They didn’t make it , let’s have a moment of silence for them plz…Okay ! So the new AirPod pro 2(second gen) came and I instantly patted myself on the back for opting for the $199 upgrade just to see if all the hype was true.. it is !!The second I put them in my ears, the entire world arround me disappeared. Silence to the point of “is that fan off? Because normally it’s loud AF, thought me, took out the AirPods and yup it was still loud. The noise cancellation is insanely good !!The amazing sound quality of music is just that, amazing, and this little bundle of joy is worth its weight in gold with all of the customizable settings they offer, heck you can even take a pic of your ear and it will tell u what supplied plug covers are best suited for your ear, as well as a sound test option to make sure you are getting every cent out of these. Now I also bought a waterproof/crush proof case, the Catalyse ones you see in pic above so we don’t have anymore washing machine accidents. So the question still remains, is the extra $100 dollars for pro 2’s worth it ?For me that’s a resounding yes.Never would I opt for “refurbished” AirPods.. nothing about that sounds appealing. These should last me at least a couple of years, where as my old basic AirPods might have lasted 6 months. I found that the basic ones sound and stuff diminished rapidlySo “treat yo-self” to the AirPod 2 pros, again I repeat, the second I put them in my ears, I knew I made the right decision. So why don’t you?Get a protective case too, they are amazing.

Cheap Alternative to Casual Heaaring Problems
In 2023 I got tested by an audiologist and was diagnosed with mild to moderate hearing loss, and offered hearing aids for $3,000. I then started doing research on OTC hearing aids which became available in late 2023. The reviews revealed a wide range of personal reviews of usage with both quality and price. Being retired and rarely in social environments my hearing problems were at home with my spouse on daily basis, and family occasionally. I really didn’t want to commit thousands for aids I would not use while awake .All the reviews had problems with even the best rated aids. When IOS 18.1 was announced with the hearing aid option I considered buying the Airpods, since my old Earbuds were defunct. I bought a pair, took the fit and hearing test, which confirmed my mild and moderate hearing loss. Reviews of the Airpods, had two cons, the stigma of wearing in public while conversing and 5-6 hours of use before recharging. The first week I wore them in public and didn’t detect any bad feedback. They are everything they claim to be. Control with iPhone app is easy to use and the four modes of hearing optiions, Off, Transparency, Adaptive, and Noise Cancellation work as expected. The first day I heard things in my house I haven’t heard in 20 years! I can now hear my wifes tiny voice, even from another room. I don’t need them for TV, so I rarely have them on for more than six hours. Put in the charging case, they recharge to 100% in less than hour. I have only two cons; they can fall out, even if you pass the fit test, and one of the pods chirps occasionally while inserted. For someone who needs excellent hearing assistance in a casual or intermittent setting and doesn’t want to spend hundreds or thousands, I highly recommend these. Plus, Apple will probably add improvements in the future.

Wow, just wow!
Weather you are going from the first gen pros, normal AirPods, or any other headphones (except the AirPods Max) I’m sure you will be blown away by these, the sound quality is unbelievable, and the bass, the bass is insane! You might think that since they are earbuds that you might not be able to feel the bass, but not quite, for me, it’s like I have a actual bass next to me, it’s like it uses your heartbeat to make it feel like bass is around you, especially when you really feel the music, even though the beat isn’t right on with your heartbeat, that is the best I can describe it. And I do t k ow what happened, but with the iOS 18.1 update, everything changed in how good the audio was, I came from the AirPods Pro 1st generation, so when I swapped to 2nd generation the audio difference strangely wasn’t much better, but after the iOS update, it was crazy! It sounded like there was the band or orchestra playing around me and swapping from ear to ear and fading, it feels more open and waaaay better! It is quite hard to describe, it’s really just something you have to try for yourself. I am absolutely blown away by these AirPods, these are the best sound quality earbuds I’ve ever put on, better than any headset I’ve put on! And the new speaker on the case is a nice piece of mind to have, I haven’t used the lanyard loop before but that’s just me. And the tracking for these in find my is so good, that I can lose them, and I can play the sound and use the find my app and it will play a have if hot and cold with me and it is accurate! One of my favorite features of these compared to the 1st generation is the volume control on the stem of the AirPod itself, I use this all the time. I highly recommend these!Edit: I found out why it was sounding so good and it is just the special audio on them that I toggled on, but still unbelievable sound.

Incredible Noise Cancellation and Superior Sound Quality!
Well! I bought the Apple AirPods Pro 2 as a replacement after my dog chewed up my friend’s left AirPod—yes, I owe him big time, so I decided to go all out for his birthday. Little did I know, these would end up impressing me even more than I expected. The standout feature for me is the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). It’s truly next-level compared to the previous version. Once you put them in, the world fades away. Even in a noisy environment like a coffee shop or during a subway commute, the ANC eliminates a lot of the background noise. The Transparency Mode is equally remarkable. It feels completely natural when switching modes, allowing ambient sound to flow in without losing clarity.Another game-changer is the Personalized Spatial Audio. Setting it up with the iPhone was easy, and the result is an immersive listening experience tailored to your ears. Music sound rich and multidimensional, with high-fidelity sound that delivers impressive depth and detail. The H2 chip is the brain behind all of this and ensures seamless connectivity and ultra-responsive performance. Pairing is instantaneous, and was zero lag during calls or while watching videos. The USB-C charging is a welcome upgrade, making it easier to charge alongside other devices. The battery life is solid.Overall, these AirPods Pro 2 are worth every penny. My friend is thrilled with them (and, thankfully, forgave my dog).

Beware of counterfeits!!!
I’ve had a pair of these for about a year and couldn’t be happier. I use them everyday with either my iPhone or my ATV. In fact, I much prefer watching (listening to) a movie with these than my home theater speakers. I use them when I travel, I use them at the gym. I really love these things!I recently purchased a set for my wife. She immediately had issues with the fit and an inability to get the ear fit test to work. We realized that the box did not come with alternate sized ear tips which was odd. Even trying all the sizes of ear tips that came with my set we could not get a good fit. I suspected they were counterfeit and reached out to Amazon for a replacement set. Amazon was super helpful and could not have made the replacement process easier! When the new ones arrived all of the weird problems were solved. The box had the extra tips but they weren’t even necessary. They new ones fit my wife’s ears immediately. The ear tip test was successful the first time.Long story short. If you get a pair and don’t love them, don’t give up they might not be the real deal.

Probably the best Apple buy and a steal at sale price but a couple of issues
I was blown away with the sound and features of these airpods (and I am not easily impressed). However, a couple of issues. One I found that the standard fit is not terribly secure. I had to add hooks for security and a tether to link the two airpods together. They both connect on the stem so that fit is not affected. Given the cost, you don’t want to take a chance on losing one. The hooks will help secure the pods in your ear, and the tether will help prevent loss. The use of both is optional, of course. You can get both for about $10. The main downside of the hooks an tether is that they have to be removed to be able to place the airpods in the charger, so get hooks that are easy to remove. Second issue is the tips, which are special to the airpods pro. I found that the small, medium, large, and the ones that come with it, were not sufficient for a tight fit. Probably will need others. Luckily, the fit can be tested by the iphone.

These are Awesome!
This is my first time buying a set of quality ear buds, as I’ve only ever bought cheap knock offs that cost lest than $50. I got these on a good sale and wow, are they awesome! They have so many features such as conversation awareness, noise cancellation, and even the ability to nod your head up and down or side to side to reply to phone notification from Siri. I’ve used these for a few months now and I’ve used them for everything from mowing my lawn, working on my truck, working out and so much more. The audio quality is good in my opinion. I’m certainly not an audiophile or audio snob and I’m overall very happy with these because they’re such a major upgrade from all the cheap stuff I’ve bought over the years that doesn’t last or work very well. The battery life is great and the case lets you recharge the ear buds several times before needing to charge the case. They come with different size ear tips so you can choose whichever one is most comfortable for your ear shape. If you can get these on sale, I recommend buying them!
